Andalusia has 8 provinces in total. One of these is called Cordoba. Muslim in origin, it is also marked by its Roman past.
Also present, is the religious and architectural effect of the “Re-conquest”, that infamous time in Spain’s history when the Catholic monarchs drove out the Moors from Andalusia.
Our day trip from Seville to Cordoba, will allow you to experience a panoramic view of this ethereal city.
We will pick you up at your hotel and drive out to Cordoba, departing just after breakfast, early in the morning. Along the way, we will pass ever changing landscapes, expansive olive groves and quaint villages.
Córdoba was in fact, once, the capital of the “Al Andalus” region of Spain. It still maintains that same aire and look…
The most imposing monument in Cordoba is their “Mezquita’ or Mosque.
As you enter, words will escape you and you will be in awe of the sheer magnitude of its interior.
You will also be amazed of how the Christians managed to ‘insert’ a Catholic church, within the mosque.
As you step outside to the courtyards, your senses will be awaken by the orange trees and their magnificent citrus fragrance.
Afterwards, your tour will continue on to the legendary Jewish Quarter, before heading back to Seville.
